How do you get a package from a drone to the ground? That’s a challenge we spent a lot of time trying to tackle. There are different ways you can accomplish this. You can drop it. But eggs and coffee tend to react badly to that.

Here at Wing we spend a lot of time thinking about how to move packages through the sky. Solving the problem of on-demand delivery will always require a variety of vehicles. Just as the ideal vehicle for carrying a ton of gravel would be a dump truck rather than a sedan, the ideal aircraft to carry a bottle of medication is not the same as the best one to deliver a gallon of milk, and neither is suited to deliver a refrigerator.

When our delivery drones service starts in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, it will be the first time this type of service has ever been available in a major U.S. metro.

The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA’s) UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight Aviation Rulemaking Committee Final Report leverages cross-aviation and government expertise to recommend how and why regulations must be updated to match the technology progress and safety needs of the US national airspace. The recommendations work to enable an industry that will increase safety, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve access to goods for the American public.
