subject: Hi there (or should we say 'Howdy'?)

If you’re here, you might have heard the news. But if not: Wing and Walgreens are working together to launch a new model for drone delivery. It’s pretty exciting stuff! In partnership with Walgreens, we’ll be delivering over-the-counter medicines and other convenience items directly from a local store to customer doors.

First, a reality check: Not all 7 million people who live in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex are going to be able to use the service at launch. There’s a good reason for this (we want to expand gradually), but for now we’re going to start small with Frisco and Little Elm.

If you want to find out when you’ll be eligible, or if you just want to take a look “under the hood” and see what the future of drone delivery truly looks like — you’re in the right place.

Jacob and I are community leads on the ground in Texas. While we both know drone delivery and community outreach inside-and-out — I’ve been a community manager in Texas for 3 years, and Jacob helped launch our first U.S. service in Virginia a couple years ago — we’re still getting to know the Dallas-Fort Worth area and look forward to getting to know you all. Needless to say, we’re still learning, so please reach out. If you’d like to share some local wisdom, have questions, a good BBQ recommendation, or just want to say hi (this is an email, after all), feel free to shoot Jacob and me a note: howdy@wing.com. Otherwise, keep an eye on your inbox, as we’ll be sending weekly updates and service announcements.

We can’t wait to get to know you, and give you a sneak peak into Wing!
